East Longmeadow, Massachusetts
The new East Longmeadow Public Library is located on the site of the former library, and is attached to the historic brownstone Town Hall. East Longmeadow was the site of several Brownstone quarries which once supplied stone to New York City and Boston. To complement this original character, the new library reuses the brownstone from the 1950s library, and the exterior is clad in copper shingles.
The new library provides additional space on two levels organized about a central atrium with a large natural skylight that provides natural daylighting.
