Lithgow Public Library

Augusta, Maine

Additions and renovations to the Lithgow Library modernized services and more than tripled the size of the old library. The expansion respects the original building – part of the National Register of Historic Places – while establishing a modern library with expanded technology access. With 31,755 SF of space, the library now includes an art gallery, local history room, enlarged children’s department, community meeting room, and a new young adults section. The updates also make the library fully accessible for its 11,300 patrons.
