Arlington Center for the Arts

This non-profit organization has a new home located on two floors of a historic school building. Renovations transform the former municipal offices into 7,645 SF of vibrant creative spaces. Improved lighting and ventilation contribute to the sense of openness. We maximized open space while highlighting existing architectural features. Improvements included:

  • New LED lighting
  • Enhanced air circulation
  • New casework
  • New interior finishes
  • A new entrance

Accessibility was greatly expanded by the enlarging the doors and hallways and repairing the elevator. The new layout provided a balance of studios, classrooms, galleries, and administrative spaces. Additionally, the project features a clay studio, resident artist studios, and a flexible performance space.
