Our addition and renovation to the Laconia Public Library (also known by its original name “Gale Memorial Library) in Laconia, New Hampshire, restored the original 1888 granite building to its past glory, and created a new addition providing handicapped access, meeting rooms, and expanded book capacity. The addition, which doubled the size of the library, was designed to complement the original Victorian architecture. A through site feasibility study was key in deciding on the site of the library’s addition.
