Included in our recent expansion of the Concord Free Public Library (c. 1873) was a connection to the historic house next door (c. 1797). We converted the house into modern, usable library spaces, such as a podcast recording room, a video recording room, meeting rooms and offices. But, many original elements were preserved, including a fireplace, ceiling timbers and a door from another nearby historic house.
