Library (re)design: Hopkinton Public Library

Following a tour of the expanded and redesigned Hopkinton Public Library, local librarian Jenny Arch wrote thorough review of the space on her blog. Jenny particularly appreciated the abundant use of modular furniture. Having tables, chairs, displays, and the circulation desk on wheels allows for flexible use of available space. Staff can easily move lightweight chairs and foldable tables to accommodate events. Meanwhile, the space still has plenty of furniture to accommodate day-to-day library patrons. Some other highlights Jenny mentioned are the cozy children’s room, skylights in the meeting room, and clear environmental graphics.

Johnson Roberts Associates loves to hear feedback from librarians. We were thrilled to read Jenny’s enthusiastic review.
