Mount Calvary Christian Preschool in Acton, Massachusetts, offers preschool programs for children ages three through five. Significant growth since the programs’ inception resulted in inadequate space to meet the current needs. Johnson Roberts Associates designed an expansion and renovation that both accommodates the preschool and better serves the church community. An addition to the church provided four new classrooms, an accessible entrance, an expanded parking lot, and new outdoor play space. A newly enclosed exterior courtyard created a nursery, restrooms, offices, and meeting rooms.
Renovations to the original church and fellowship hall included a new kitchen and new building systems. Completely new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and a more efficient use of space throughout helped to maximize the impact of the funds raised to renovate and add to this vibrant and active church.
