Ruth Wang, LEED AP: The Newest Member of the JRA Team

We are happy to welcome Ruth Wang aboard as a Senior Designer. She is very talented and will be a great addition to our team!

Ruth is an architectural designer pursuing licensure. Her experience is in commercial core and shell, workplace and hospitality interiors, and medical planning. Her project work spans locations on the east and west coasts of the U.S. and international developments.

She is passionate about working with communities on projects that reflect the diverse needs and cultures of the people impacted on a micro and macro scale. As a LEED AP, she is mindful of sustainable materials, sustainable design and preserving resilient environments and communities.

Ruth’s strengths are in research, planning and architectural detailing. She is interested in integrated processes and continuity of teams, working together to create, develop and implement architectural designs from the concept phase, through documentation and on to construction administration. She is dedicated to implementing processes that help teams work efficiently through effective communication, collaborative tools and project standards.

Before joining Johnson Roberts Associates, she worked at SmithGroup, ZGF, and NBBJ, as well as smaller offices such as Rockwell Group and Parc Office in New York City, Seattle and Boston. Through these experiences she has learned to adapt to many ways of working.

In her free time, Ruth enjoys studio arts, such as illustration, acrylic painting and printmaking. Ruth grew up in Michigan, where she spent a lot of time on lakes and in pools swimming for fun and for teams. Today, she finds any time she can to head to the pool or participate in open water swimming.
