Sturbridge Town Hall and Center Office Building

Johnson Roberts Associates renovated and expanded the Sturbridge Town Hall and Center Office Building. Built in 1840 and 1852, respectively, these historic buildings sit across the street from each other in the town’s center. The complete renovation and expansion of the existing Sturbridge Town Hall included a small addition that houses a new handicap accessible entrance, stairs, and an elevator. The gutting and replacement of first floor created space for a new HVAC systems and fixed structural problems.

Across the street, Johnson Roberts Associates expanded and renovated the Center Office Building to provide more space for town offices. Additionally, the expansion improved building’s handicap accessibility. The renovation also addressed water damage — including mold abatement throughout the building and much-needed repairs to the foundation.
