Touchstone Community School

Johnson Roberts Associates completed a full campus master plan for Touchstone Community School. This comprehensive master plan includes existing conditions analyses, planned enrollment identification, educational visioning and programming, and desired facility/program improvements identification. Additionally, the master plan lays out a phased approach to facility rehabilitation and expansion.

Phase 1 consisted of a newly designed wing that expands early childhood capacity and enrollment. Opened in October 2017, this new wing features sunlit classrooms and outdoor spaces, providing learning opportunities both indoors and outdoors. The space supports the Touchstone Community School’s philosophy of providing a curriculum with an emphasis on creativity and play.

Phase 2 improvements included facility rehabilitation as required for the re-programmed buildings. Phase 3 improvements included a new 4,000-SF physical education/performance space.
