University of Maine – STEM Lecture Hall

As one of only seven buildings on the Orono campus with large learning spaces, Little Hall was in desperate need of an update. The renovation of the existing lecture room 120B in Little gave the University an opportunity to explore the benefits of a large learning space. Deep seating platforms, fixed collaboration counters with electrical outlets, and non-fixed height adjustable chairs provided all users with the opportunity for both fully collaborative ‘360 degree’ group interactions as well as traditional lecture style learning.

We supplied visioning and design consulting services to Ames Associates (Bangor), and led the initial project visioning meetings — as well as the DD for the layout of the new large learning classroom. Our primary scope of services was between winter and spring 2014.
